Mr. Howe was a wonderful impressionists artist. There is very little written about him and many that live on the Miramichi do not know him. He mostly painted outdoors and could be seen along the highway at French Fort Cove or elsewhere with his easel setup capturing our region in oils.
I hope that as this site becomes better known that many will come forward and help catalogue his artwork. I known that many on the Miramichi have his art in their homes, cottages, lodges and elsewhere. We would like to photograph as much of his art as possible. Include the images on this site with full credit, if wished, to the owner of the artwork.
