Oil/16″x20″ Winter 1952
Thanks to Geoff Creaghan from the Miramichi, who currently live in St. Petersburg, Florida we now have another excellent painting by Richard. Titled “Creaghan’s gulch” it was painted in the winter of 1952. It is an oil 16″x20″ . Geoff sent this image along for us all to share. It is a beautiful winter scene on the Miramichi and one of his earlier paintings that I have been able to identify so far. However, I realize that Mr. Howe painted well into the 40’s as well.
Like myself Geoff agrees that
“his talent was not properly recognized. His art is phenomenal with incredible depth and vision. “
Perhaps as more and more art is collected and displayed in a body Mr. Howe he will get some of the recognition he deserves.
