A Still life Painting
Les Price sent along this great Richard Howe still life. I am always glad to receive these because Richard mostly painted landscapes - often of the Miramichi.
I received this a few weeks ago, however we were having Rogers network issues and then the complete Canada wide shutdown.
However, today the network is working quite well so we were able to post this.
I have a 1976 Richard Howe of African violets. What would be its value.
Hi Mary.
It depends… On the size, details, any notes that may be on the painting such as reason for painting, where painted, signature and other factors. Richard was mostly known for his landscape and seascape paintings. These sell within this range normally: $600 to $2,500 Canadian. However some have sold for more than this and a few for less. Personally I feel that his paintings are underpriced and should be in the $2,000 to $6,000 price range or higher – especially his larger landscapes. Hope that this helps. Terry
